US-based Estuary Power has secured a long-term easement with the DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration. The agreement enables the development of a solar project at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). As part of the DOE’s Cleanup to Clean Energy Initiative, the project will repurpose 2,400 acres of unused DOE land, with potential for further expansion. This initiative supports clean energy goals while utilizing the NNSS’s historic role in national security. The agreement follows a competitive selection process initiated in early 2024.
