US-based D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) has secured two long-term renewable energy agreements with Meta. The agreements include a 250 MW AC solar project in Missouri and a 150 MW AC project in Texas. Both projects, located in Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) territory, are set to be operational by the end of 2027. This 400 MW AC portfolio expands DESRI’s partnership with Meta to over 1.2 GW AC across five states. According to DESRI, it acquired the Texas project in 2022 from Acadian Renewable Energy and completed development over three years. DESRI will own and operate both the projects. The solar facilities will provide clean energy for Meta’s data centers under long-term PPAs.
