Chinese solar manufacturer DAS Solar announced plans for a 3 GW solar PV module assembly plant in Mandeure, France, with a €109 million ($115.18 million) investment. The facility, located on a 100,000 m² industrial site acquired for €1.2 million (~$1.26 million), will include three 1 GW assembly lines and generate 600 jobs. The project is Phase I of DAS Solar’s plans for a complete PV supply chain in France, aligning with EU solar manufacturing goals. The plant repurposes the Faurecia industrial site and leverages advanced n-type technology.
