Daqo New Energy Corp’s subsidiary, Xinjiang Daqo, has signed an investment agreement to develop a silicon-based new materials industrial park in Shihezi, China. The first phase of the project entails producing 150,000MT of silicon metal, 50,000MT of polysilicon, and 1.2 million silicon seed rods, requiring an investment of about RMB7.5 billion. The second phase mirrors the first in production and investment, but with 1.0 million pieces of silicon seed rod.
