Europe-based CTP, the largest listed developer of industrial and logistics properties by gross lettable area, has completed a 100,000 sqm logistics hub for Tesco near Szigetszentmiklós, Hungary. Sustainability measures of the hub include 8,620 solar panels totaling 3.75 MW, achieving an ‘A’ energy rating and pending BREEAM certification by late 2024. Tesco estimates the project will cut CO2 emissions by 830 tons annually. Built on a 60-hectare greenfield site, the facility will optimize Tesco’s supply chain, reduce transport emissions, and begin operations in March 2025. The hub also features cold storage halls, a dry goods hall, EV chargers, a truck wash with water recycling, and repair facilities.
