Cricket for Climate completes first phase with 400kW solar power 

Cricket for Climate, led by Australian Men’s cricket captain Pat Cummins, achieves first phase with 150 kW solar power donations from partners LONGi, OSW, Sungrow, and Solis. Launched in 2021, the initiative gained momentum, completing a 285 kW solar project at the National Cricket Centre, Brisbane, saving up to AUD 50,000 in the first year and projecting AUD 1 million in savings over 20 years while removing nearly 8,000 tons of carbon. Australian cricketers, with support from partners, installed rooftop solar panels at local clubs, emphasizing a collective commitment to sustainability in the cricket and sports community.
