Dean Solon of Create Energy and Hamlet Tunyan of RECOM Technologies have launched ReCreate, a new venture aimed at producing 5 GW of solar cells and 5 GW of solar modules for the U.S. and EU markets. The facility, located in Portland, Tennessee, will benefit from incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022, which supports U.S. solar manufacturing. ReCreate’s output will significantly enhance the current U.S. solar manufacturing capacity. Create Energy, founded by Solon, offers a range of renewable energy products and services, while RECOM Technologies, led by Tunyan, is a global player in clean-tech manufacturing. The partnership aims to set new industry standards and support local economies with American-made solar solutions.
