US-based CleanChoice Energy has launched its first fully owned solar project, the Blairs Valley solar farm. Located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the 26.15 MW facility spans 168 acres. It features over 30,000 bifacial solar panels with flex tracking technology. The farm feeds renewable energy into the PJM grid, serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and neighboring states. CleanChoice claims the project can power 4,500 homes. The company used pollinator-friendly seed mixes and permeable fencing to support wildlife and wetland preservation. Churchill Stateside Group acted as the tax equity investor, with Range Renewable Advisors advising. A 29 MW project in Kylertown, Pennsylvania, is set to begin soon. CleanChoice plans over ten more solar projects to expand its renewable footprint in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
