US-based Civic Renewables has acquired Orlando-based Florida Power Management, a premier solar installation company, as part of its national expansion strategy. According to Civic Renewables, this move combines its resources with FPM’s reputation for quality and service. Previously, FPM was selected by major finance companies as a primary solar installer. Civic is backed by GEF Capital, a Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm focused on climate solutions. Since its launch, Civic has also acquired Green Rack Solar and Ipsun Solar, two other prominent local solar companies. This marks Civic’s third acquisition, part of a strategy to consolidate local solar companies and strengthen the clean energy sector. Civic Renewables seeks additional US partnerships to further expand its solar industry presence.
