China-based Yingli Solar has received low carbon footprint certification from Certisolis for 4 solar module types. These include bifacial and glass-glass (2+2 mm) designs ranging from 460 W to 725 W. This certification meets France’s regulatory standards, which emphasize raw material traceability across the supply chain. According to the company, Yingli is among the few top 10 solar module manufacturers to achieve a low carbon footprint score of 400 kg CO₂ equivalent per kW across all its modules. With this approval, its certified modules are eligible for projects under France’s carbon criteria, and the traceability feature may apply to other European and international markets.
