Trina Solar, a China-based PV enterprise engaged in project development, has started construction of the 60 MW Mabini solar project in Mabini Town, Philippines. The 60 MW project represents the company’s first greenfield investment in the Philippines and involves approximately PHP 1.9 billion ($32.3 million). The ground-mounted PV facility spans 41.25 hectares, with China International Engineering Corporation (CIEC) serving as the EPC contractor. A 20-year PPA has been signed with AdventEnergy, and commercial operation is scheduled by the end of the third quarter of 2026. First-year power generation is estimated at 110.84 GWh and is projected to supply over 24000 households. Annual CO2 emission reductions are estimated at approximately 76500 tons.
