LONGi, a global manufacturer of photovoltaic technology, has partnered with Rafiqui, a Mexican non-profit, to improve solar panel recycling in Mexico. The country has very few options to recycle decommissioned PV modules. This makes waste management difficult for solar developers and operators. The new collaboration aims to create practical solutions for managing old panels. It also focuses on reducing the environmental impact of solar waste. LONGi is the first solar manufacturer involved in such work in Mexico. The company has taken part in similar recycling initiatives in Brazil, China, the United States, and Europe.
