LONGi, a China-based global manufacturer of solar PV products, has partnered with Pertamina NRE, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned energy company Pertamina. These two companies have planned to set up a 1.6 GW solar panel manufacturing facility in Deltamas, West Java, Indonesia. The plant will use HPBC 2.0 technology to produce high-efficiency solar modules for the local and regional markets. Manufacturing preparations are expected to begin by June 2025. The project is intended to increase Indonesia’s domestic solar production capacity and improve the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) for solar equipment. It aligns with Indonesia’s RUPTL 2025-2034 targets, which include 17.1 GW of new solar installations over the next decade.
