LAPLACE to build 1.1 GW solar cell plant with overseas partner

China-based LAPLACE Group, Global Supplier of Photovoltaic Equipment and Solution, has partnered with an overseas company to establish a 1.1 GW photovoltaic cell facility. The company specialises in solar cell research, development, and manufacturing. As of Q2 2025, LAPLACE has secured over 900 patents, including 80 for inventions. It has supported customers in breaking more than ten world records in solar cell efficiency. The company has also enabled large-scale mass production of TOPCon, TOPCon Plus, and XBC technologies. LAPLACE operates six R&D centres, four production sites, and three service hubs worldwide. More than half of its workforce is engaged in R&D and technical support. The company continues to develop advanced equipment, core components, and composite materials for the solar and semiconductor industries.
