China-based PV module manufacturer JinkoSolar has announced the deployment of its Tiger Neo 3.0 modules across residential rooftops in Japan. The producer has revealed that 18.79 MW of these modules have been purchased for installation on hundreds of household systems. According to the announcement, the deployment addresses rooftop space constraints and local environmental conditions across the Japan. Tiger Neo 3.0 modules are designed to deliver 650 Wp to 670 Wp power output with efficiency ranging from 24.2% to 24.8%. JinkoSolar points out that the modules achieve bifaciality levels of 85% to 90% and improved low-light performance. Additional features include enhanced tolerance to sand and dirt coverage and an optimized temperature coefficient. The modules use a dual-glass design that resists mechanical damage from hurricanes, strong winds, and snow loads and are covered by a 30-year warranty. Recently, JinkoSolar has confirmed a 56.89 MW UK distributor-led supply contract for Tiger Neo 3.0 modules targeting C&I PV deployment.
