Mercedes-Benz South Africa has installed a 14.57 MW rooftop solar system at its manufacturing facility in East London.More than 21,000 high-performance N-Type modules were supplied by Jinko Solar through its local distribution partner, Menlo Electric South Africa. The project, delivered by BrightBlack Energy, is the largest rooftop solar installation in South Africa to date. Installation was carried out under Phase 2 of the solar rollout and completed on time and within the allocated budget. The system has already surpassed initial performance expectations since commissioning. The project marks a significant step in scaling clean power for industrial use and sets a reference point for future commercial solar installations in the region.
