China-headquartered Huasun Energy has launched the Himalaya 760 HV module with 760 W output, 24.5 percent efficiency and a 2000 V system voltage. The model is designed for large utility and desert projects requiring higher voltage operation. Simulation work in a 100 MVA Hami project has shown lower BOS costs and reduced pile numbers. The 2000 V system has also improved land-use efficiency compared with 1500 V designs. Further comparisons have indicated additional BOS savings and higher IRR against 725 W TOPCon modules. The module uses a 132-half-cell layout with large wafers and negative spacing. Huasun Energy has applied a butyl edge-seal to support insulation under higher voltage. The design is compatible with current production lines requiring limited adjustments. Initial supply agreements were secured with Anhui Guoding Construction and Abdullah Reabi Company. Prior to this, Huasun Energy signed an exclusive partnership with Japan’s Suichoku Solar.
