Gigasun AB (publ), a Stockholm-based developer of customer rooftop solar PV plants, has secured five new orders in China through its wholly-owned subsidiary. The agreements cover 3.8 MW solar energy installations located in ChongQing announced on 2 January 2026. These rooftop facilities will generate SEK 1.8 million (~$0.20 million) annual revenue from electricity sales across 20-year agreement terms. Total order value reaches SEK 36 million (~$3.96 million) while investment amounts to SEK 14.4 million (~$1.58 million) for Q1 2026 commencement. Gigasun subsidiaries were tasked to own and operate the projects without government subsidies reliance. The plants are expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,400 tonnes each year through commercial operations. Recently, Gigasun AB has refinanced SEK 372 million with Agribank, improving liquidity for its China PV operations.
