CESC’s subsidiary, Purvah Green Power, has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Deshraj Solar Energy. Deshraj Solar Energy is engaged in the development of a 300 MW PV power plant in India. The acquisition, which aims to expand CESC’s renewable energy portfolio, is expected to be completed soon. Following the completion, Deshraj Solar Energy will become a step-down subsidiary of the Kolkata-based CESC. CESC, a fully integrated utility, operates across power, organized retail, property development, and business process outsourcing. This acquisition further strengthens its diversification into clean energy solutions, says CESC.
