CEP Renewables has initiated construction on its 19 MW DC grid supply Foul Rift solar project in White Township, Warren County, New Jersey. The project is situated on a brownfield, formerly a contaminated composting facility, subject to 92 environmental violation notices from NJDEP. CEP’s efforts will remediate the site while offering clean energy, pollinator habitats, and increased tax revenue. Scheduled for commercial operation by September 2024, the fixed-tilt, bifacial solar module project aligns with New Jersey’s aim for 100% clean electricity by 2035. Additionally, CEP will establish a porous pavement walking path across the Township’s recreational fields as part of the partnership.
