The Clean Energy Council (CEC), Australia’s leading body for renewable energy, has been appointed by the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) as the official product assurance authority for small-scale renewables, covering PV panels and inverters.  As per the CEC’s proposal to the CER, it aims to expand its Products team, streamline application processes, and improve user experiences via updated online listings. Immediate changes will enable transparent application tracking and enhanced customer support. The CEC will also form a manufacturer working group and provide regular performance reports to the CER. While Solar Accreditation Australia now manages Installer Accreditation, the CEC remains focused on policy advocacy, administering the New Energy Tech Consumer Code, and promoting policies to drive consumer solar adoption.
