US based Catalyze, a leading developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) of renewable energy assets, has chosen NY based GreenSpark Solar to construct 10 new projects totaling 60 MW. This collaboration will expand Catalyze’s community solar portfolio in New York, which already includes the Amherst solar project, and additional sites acquired from Canada-based BW Solar. The projects are partially funded by $100 million from NY Green Bank and supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) through the NY-Sun Program. This partnership aligns with New York’s goals to achieve 10 GW of distributed solar capacity and 70% renewable energy in electricity generation by 2030. These projects are expected to be completed between 2024 and mid-2025.
