Worldwide Holdings Bhd, a subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), has started construction of the 300 MW (AC) Bestari Large-Scale Solar facility in Kuala Selangor. The development is carried out under the Large-Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) programme. The project spans over 430 hectares and has a total installed capacity of 460 MW. The facility is expected to generate about 640,000 MWh annually, supplying more than 150,000 households. The contract is awarded to Bestari Solar Sdn Bhd, a consortium led by Worldwide Holdings Bhd, EDRA Power and Rotaka Engineering Services (M) Sdn Bhd. The development aligns with the national target of achieving 40% renewable energy capacity by 2035.
