Canada-based Westbridge has shared a project update. In 2024, it earned $62 million from selling the Georgetown and Sunnynook projects in Alberta. Since its RTO, its portfolio grew to over 9 GW. It also sold five Alberta solar and battery storage projects totaling 1.4 GW to Metlen Energy & Metals. Dolcy Solar received AUC approval, while Eastervale, Red Willow, and Normandeau Solar remained in development. The company added five standalone battery storage projects in Alberta with a total capacity of 536 MWh.In Canada, there are four solar and battery storage projects, along with one sold solar and battery storage project. In the US, there is one solar project in development. In the UK, there are no solar projects, only a battery storage project. In Italy, two solar projects have progressed with feasibility studies and permit applications.
