Poland-headquartered Węglokoks SA, Coal export company, has signed a loan agreement with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management for PLN 50 million (~$13.18 million) under the National Reconstruction Plan. The funds were allocated to build a photovoltaic farm with an energy storage facility at Huta Pokój in Ruda Śląska. The installation aimed to partially meet electricity demand for Węglokoks Group companies. The project aligned with efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce reliance on conventional energy sources.
