Voltalia, a global renewable energy company, has announced that the Clifton Solar power plant in Dorset. They began production with an operational capacity of 45 MW. The plant was expected to supply electricity for over 10,600 households and offset around 11,600 tons of CO₂ annually. The project, awarded under the UK’s fourth Contract for Difference auction round, secured a fixed tariff for 20 years. Together with the Higher Stockbridge project under construction, Voltalia expanded its portfolio in the United Kingdom to four solar and storage plants totaling 134 MW, with 79 MW more being built. The company also supported third-party clients in developing and operating 23 projects totaling 195 MW across the UK.
