Sweden-based Vattenfall has commissioned Germany’s largest Agri-PV park in Tützpatz, Mecklenburg Lake District, with an installed capacity of 76 MW. The project covered 93 hectares and integrated 146,000 solar modules. It was built without subsidies and was secured by a decade-long power purchase agreement with Power and Air Condition Solution Management GmbH, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary. The agreement ensured energy supply equivalent to 4,600 mobile phone sites. The park was divided into three sub-areas for farming and animal husbandry. Six mobile chicken coops with up to 2,500 animals each were planned. Crop rotations were arranged under tracker-based solar structures, leaving sufficient spacing for machinery. This setup allowed farmland to remain productive while generating electricity. Vattenfall confirmed plans to implement further Agri-PV parks in Germany.
