OQ Alternative Energy has partnered with United Solar Polysilicon to develop a 700 MW PV power project in Oman. The project supports Oman’s national strategy to diversify energy sources and increase renewable capacity. OQ Alternative Energy, part of the country’s national energy group, will lead project development and implementation using its regional expertise. United Solar Polysilicon, a global supplier of high-purity polysilicon for solar module manufacturing, will provide upstream materials and technical support. According to OQ Alternative Energy, the partnership combines local execution capabilities with global manufacturing strengths. The facility is expected to enhance Oman’s clean energy infrastructure and contribute to the Middle East’s broader energy transition efforts.
