UKA Italia, a subsidiary of Germany-based UKA Group, has received environmental and landscape approvals from Italy’s Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Culture for its Pesce (42.73 MWp) and Capezzana (55.71 MWp) agri-PV projects in Ramacca, Sicily. Both projects are designed with elevated solar tracking structures at a minimum height of 2.1 meters, enabling simultaneous agricultural activities and power generation. Sicily’s high solar irradiation allows projected energy yields above 2,100 kWh/kWp/year. The projects are strategically located for streamlined connectivity to Italy’s national grid through a new TERNA 380/150/36 kV substation. Cultivation plans are integrated with system design to combine land use with renewable output. With approvals in place, UKA Italia is advancing towards Sole Authorization to achieve ready-to-build status for both projects.
