TrinaTracker, a unit of Trinasolar, has signed a contract to supply 363 MW of solar tracker systems for a photovoltaic plant in Uzbekistan’s Navoi region. The project was invested by China Energy Engineering Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., included 7,267 Vanguard 1P single-axis trackers. With this order, TrinaTracker’s cumulative supply in Uzbekistan has surpassed 1 GW. The company also developed customized solutions to address high temperatures, strong winds and challenging geology, by using a micro-pile grouting foundation for stability. The system, tested for structural strength and reliability, was designed for a 25-year lifespan. Once operational, the plant will generate about 700 million kWh of electricity annually. It will avoid 220,000 tons of coal use and cut 600,000 tons of CO₂ emissions, supporting Uzbekistan’s goal of 25% renewable energy by 2030.
