ENEOS Renewable Energy(formerlyJapan Renewable Energy Corporation), Buzen Toshiba, and Toshiba ESS signed a corporate PPA for supplying environmental value. Solar plants in Kyushu, run by Japan Renewable Energy, have 1.910 MW capacity and produce 2.29 million kWh yearly for Toshiba ESS. Toshiba ESS sells the power to the Japan Electric Power Exchange. It also transfers environmental value to Buzen Toshiba via a virtual PPA. The arrangement has targeted an annual CO2 reduction of 955 tons at Buzen Toshiba. This measure is a part of its broader plan for carbon neutrality by 2030. Toshiba ESS has used its renewable energy aggregation business to support stable power systems with added environmental benefits.
