UK-based renewable energy investment company Thrive Renewables has acquired the 14 MW Dunmow Solar Farm in Essex. The project was developed, built, and energised by PS Renewables. Construction was completed, with operations expected to begin within the month. The project marked Thrive’s first wholly owned ground-mount solar asset and the third funded under its joint venture with TopCashback Sustainability, Fair Play Clean Energy. PS Renewables was retained as EPC contractor. Dunmow is expected to generate up to 14,500 MWh annually. Thrive planned a shared ownership model allowing the local community up to 10% ownership. Legal and technical due diligence was handled by TLT and Locogen. Thrive planned to explore further voluntary habitat improvements. Thrive aimed to expand its total capacity from 91.5 MW to 170.1 MW by 2027.
