Statkraft, Europe’s renewable energy producer, has finalized the sale of its renewable development activities in the Netherlands. A share purchase agreement was signed with Greenchoice for the acquisition of 120 MW of operating solar assets. The deal also included a pipeline of solar, wind, and battery projects, along with the transfer of a skilled local team. Closing was expected in autumn 2025. Statkraft stated it would continue its established market operations in the Netherlands despite the divestment. The company also confirmed it was scaling back its hydrogen activities in the country. Greenchoice was set to add the acquired assets and staff to its operations. The companies did not share financial details of the deal.
