The 18th SNEC International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition was held in China with reduced attendance reflecting market challenges. InfoLink, a Taiwan-based market intelligence firm, surveyed 17 manufacturers and documented 103 modules at the event. InfoLink reported that high-power modules rated above 700 W were widely displayed, with several models exceeding 800 W. InfoLink confirmed that over 80% of the modules featured rectangular wafers larger than 188 millimeters, with the 182 by 210 mm format dominating. Perovskite-on-silicon tandem cells integrated with TOPCon or BC technologies achieved efficiency levels close to 27%. InfoLink stated that lightweight rigid and flexible modules for rooftop applications were introduced to reduce structural costs. Desert PV projects gained interest in northwestern China, while floating PV saw declining appeal due to policy uncertainties and increased water-resistance costs.
