SkyFire Energy Inc., a Canada-based solar EPC and O&M firm, has acquired Hakai Energy Solutions, a British Columbia–based renewable energy provider. The combined organization now includes approximately 200 employees who are delivering residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar and BESS. Hakai Energy Solutions has specialized in residential and commercial grid-tied systems, as well as large remote off-grid and micro-grid installations, since 2011. SkyFire Energy has designed and installed more than 8500 grid-connected solar power systems and more than 250 MW of PV systems. Its operations and maintenance team has serviced more than 2 GW of utility-scale solar and BESS projects across several Canadian provinces and territories. SkyFire Energy has stated that the integration strengthens its employee-owned structure and extends local ownership into the Comox Valley and Victoria.
