Inspired Global Cuisine (IGC),a UK-based food manufacturing company, has partnered with Shawton Energy for a 3 MW rooftop solar project. The project operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement at IGC’s new food manufacturing facility in Oldham. The system also supplies on-site renewable electricity, helping reduce energy costs and lower carbon emissions. It provides IGC with long-term price stability, improved energy independence, and operational resilience. The project forms part of IGC’s Environmental, Social and Governance strategy focused on cleaner power use. The agreement required no upfront capital investment from IGC. For Shawton Energy, the collaboration marked further expansion in its solar portfolio, supporting UK food manufacturers with scalable, low-carbon energy solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency across industrial operations.
