Germany-based RWE has commissioned one solar plant and four wind farms in France, totaling 83 MW. Construction was started in 2024 after success in the 2023 CRE tenders. In Hauts-de-France, the Catillon-Fumechon farm delivered 21.6 MW and Catésis-Bois Marronnier added 29.2 MW. Four additional turbines were installed at Nouvions, contributing 19.2 MW to existing capacity. In Normandy, RWE has completed the 9.6 MW Ormesnil wind farm. In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, it has built the Les Pierrières solar plant with 7,420 modules generating 4.2 MW. Together, the five projects supply power for about 40,000 households. RWE was also awarded 82 MW in France’s 2024 onshore wind tenders. With these additions, RWE’s operational wind and solar capacity in France has reached 265 MW.
