rPlus Energies, a US-based developer of utility-scale renewable and storage projects, has secured over $500 million in tax equity financing. The funds support the Green River Energy Center in Emery County, Utah, which includes 400 MW AC of PV and 400 MW AC/1,600 MWh of BESS. The project is backed by a long-term PPA with PacifiCorp and structured using the federal Investment Tax Credit. RBC Community Investments has led the tax equity syndicate, following $1 billion in construction debt secured by rPlus Energies last year. The company said the project will deliver $55 million in local economic benefits to Emery County over 20 years. rPlus and its partners have also contributed $375,000 to Utah State University Eastern for workforce-focused scholarships. Construction is underway, with commercial operation of the Green River Energy Center scheduled for 2026.
