PV Hardware, a global solar supplier, expanded its operations into Saudi Arabia. The move demonstrated how local PV hardware manufacturing contributed to both energy progress and economic development. The company built two factories in Jeddah with a combined 12 GW annual production capacity for mounting structures and solar trackers labeled “Made in Saudi Arabia.” This investment created skilled jobs for Saudi citizens and was recognized by the Saudi Local Content and Government Procurement Authority with the Local Content Certificate. PVH received the highest Local Content Score among solar tracker manufacturers at 35%. Forty percent of its workforce consisted of Saudi nationals. PV Hardware also trained local manufacturers to produce components for its systems, supporting long-term skill development. The case reflected how local manufacturing strengthened supply chains and supported national development goals.
