Potterne Solar Project Limited, an UK-based company focused on solar energy development, is currently undergoing a fresh consultation for its proposed 49.9 MW solar farm on 218 acres near Devizes, Wiltshire. The planning process stayed open because of several changes and a new consultation, which runs until June 2, 2025. These changes delayed a decision originally expected by February 28, with no new deadline announced by Wiltshire Council. The project faced opposition from the Potterne Solar Action Group, which cited the presence of six existing solar farms nearby and raised concerns about land use and potential effects on local wildlife.
