POLYVANTIS, a global plastic maker, has installed a 3.6 MW solar plant at its site in Weiterstadt, Germany. It is expected to produce about 3.3 GWh of electricity each year, covering around 10% of the site’s power use. This will help the company cut about 750 metric tons of CO2 every year. The electricity produced is enough to power over 900 households. The solar project is part of the company’s efforts to use resources more efficiently and lower its emissions. It also reduces indirect emissions from purchased electricity (Scope 2) and helps customers reduce their own supply chain emissions (Scope 3). More renewable projects are planned.
