Plenitude, a company controlled by Eni, has commissioned a 50 MW solar power plant in Zhanaozen, Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan. The facility is part of a 247 MW hybrid project developed with Eni and KazMunayGas. The facility included over 80,000 panels across 80 hectares and was expected to generate 86 GWh annually. The hybrid system integrated solar, wind, and gas to ensure stable supply under varying weather conditions. Electricity from the plant was designated for KazMunayGas facilities in the area. The project supported local economic growth through job creation, technology use, and capacity building.
