PetroEnergy Resources Corporation has announced the commercial launch of its 27.121 MWDC Dagohoy Solar Power Plant in Bohol on July 16, 2025. The plant, which is the province’s first large-scale solar utility facility, received its Provisional Authority to Operate from the Energy Regulatory Commission on July 4. This clearance was followed by the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines confirming its entry into the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market on July 8. Market participation formally activates its power supply agreement with SN Aboitiz Power. The agreement is part of a broader 111.58 MWDC solar portfolio under Rizal Green Energy Corp., a joint venture between PetroGreen and Japan’s Taisei Corporation. Other projects include the San Jose, Bugallon and Limbauan plants.
