Singapore-headquartered Peak Energy Development Pte Ltd. has acquired a 1 MW solar rooftop system on Matco Asia Pte. Ltd.’s rooftop in Singapore. It also signed a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) with Arkema Pte Ltd. to supply clean energy to the Symphony Plant on Jurong Island. The agreement was aimed to help Arkema cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 48.5% by 2030. The 1 MW solar rooftop system was installed on Matco Asia Pte. Ltd.'s building and has been operating since 2023 and generates around 1 GWh of clean energy annually. This acquisition and agreement expanded Peak Energy’s presence in Singapore and the Asia Pacific B2B market. It also supported Singapore’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 while helping businesses lower energy costs and carbon footprints.
