Orb Energy, a solar solutions provider, has partnered with Safal Group’s Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM) to support Kenya’s shift to clean energy. Under this partnership, Orb Energy has installed a 2.9 MW rooftop solar system at MRM’s Mariakani facility. The project is among the largest rooftop solar installations in Kenya. It is expected to generate about 4,200 MWh of clean electricity each year. This will help cut the facility’s dependence on grid power and fossil fuels. The system is also estimated to prevent more than 200 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
