UK-headquartered Octopus Energy has invested in Spain’s energy transition with 600 MW projects. The portfolio included solar farms in Navarre and Albacete with 100 MW. A battery storage developer was added, targeting 500 MW within five years. The GBP 2 billion Sky fund supported these investments, announced at the UK-Spain Roundtable. Octopus also invested in OneSolar, a Barcelona-based solar and battery advisory firm. The company entered Spain three years ago and expanded rapidly. Its retail business has reached 350,000 customers and is targeting one million by 2027. More than 7,000 solar panels and EV chargers were installed across households. Tariffs such as Intelligent Octopus Go were introduced for smarter energy use. Globally, Octopus managed over 4.9 GW of renewable projects and expanded its European portfolio further.
