US-based NorthStar Clean Energy, a subsidiary of CMS Energy, has secured up to $334 million in construction-to-term financing for two solar projects in Michigan. The Branch Solar project, a 200 MW facility in Branch County, became NorthStar’s largest solar asset in the state. The Genesee Solar project, a 50 MW facility in Genesee County, was developed in Genesee County. These projects were designed to generate electricity for nearly 36,000 homes annually. BNP Paribas, MUFG and SMBC arranged the construction-to-term financing. Legal advisors included Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, Bodman Plc and Warner Norcross + Judd LLP.
