The Department of Energy has noted that Pasinaya Homes Prime Central integrated a large solar rooftop system into its socialized housing site. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was shown the NING*NING Solar Rooftop Project during his November 25 visit in Naic. Secretary Sharon Garin said the project was the country’s first grid-connected, utility-scale rooftop installation in such a community. She added that solar panels were installed on every unit’s roof structure. The system was designed to avoid displacing valuable agricultural land in the area. Project data showed an estimated 9,105 MWh of annual output for 7,900 homes. Officials said operations and maintenance were handled directly by the solar company. Joy-Nostalg Group stated that emissions were reduced by about 6,233 tons each year.
