Spain-based Matrix Renewables and SOLV Energy have completed the 284 MW (DC) Stillhouse Solar project in Rogers, Texas, and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark it. The event, held on October 29 at 19450 New Colony Road in Bell County, was attended by local officials, partners and community members. The project involved a private investment of $370 million and created over 320 construction jobs, many filled by local workers. Matrix Renewables owned the project, while SOLV Energy handled EPC services for the PV field, substation, and SCADA systems and will manage long-term operations. Stillhouse Solar added new generation capacity to the ERCOT grid and provided tax revenue and income for local landowners in Bell County.
