LONGi, a China-based solar module manufacturer, has partnered with Chiron Energy to supply Hi-MO 9 modules for 2026–2027. The agreement will cover new and repowering projects in northern and central Italy under the CONTO ENERGIA and FER X schemes. LONGi’s 24.8 %-efficient HPBC 2.0 modules are designed to improve output and long-term performance. According to LONGi, the collaboration will double the generation capacity of Chiron Energy’s operational plants and reduce power costs for end users. Chiron currently operates 105 MW of solar capacity and oversees 700 MW of projects in development, including BESS assets. Recently, LONGi supplied 400 MW of PV modules to Shanghai Electric Power for Shanghai’s 1 GW offshore hybrid project.
